I’m a PACFA-registered psychotherapist, offering a trauma-informed and comfortable space where you can explore both your presenting concerns and whatever feels most alive in the moment. My intention is to support and empower you to find your own answers, engage more fully with life, deepen self-understanding, and move toward greater coherence, integration, and transformation.
My background is diverse and deeply people-centred. Alongside psychotherapy, I studied transpersonal art therapy and am a professional musician.
I have spent over 12 years in mental health and support work walking alongside people from many different backgrounds and life experiences - particularly complex mental health. Through this work, I have developed a strong experiential understanding of mental health and the complexities of living with emotional, psychological, and physical challenges.
I believe therapy is soul work, and the role of the therapist is to offer a compassionate, grounded, and attuned presence throughout a client’s journey. I approach trauma and clinical presentations through an empathetic lens, offering gentle and thoughtful support as we navigate the complexities that may arise together. My work is client-led and integrative, tailored to the unique needs of each person I work with.
At the heart of my work is a focus on fostering wholeness, hope, and post-traumatic growth. I aim to support clients through experiences and presenting issues, and other personal challenges with warmth, care, and curiousity. As both a psychotherapist and lifelong student, I remain committed to continually deepening my practice and offering a therapeutic space where you feel genuinely heard, seen, and supported. Importantly, becoming an effective therapist came from my own therapy journey and continuing to do the inner work on myself...

A Compassionate Guide on Your Journey Toward Healing
Why I Became
a Therapist
My path to becoming a therapist was paved by witnessing the depth of human suffering. Shaped by my own lived experiences with struggle and growth - having someone truly understand your inner world and attune deeply can have a profound impact. This is the power of relational healing.
This lived experience is what brought me to this work. The intention of Jade Psychotherapy is to create a space for shared humanity and to assist in alleviating suffering. Providing psychotherapy to the community feels like a calling and a way to assist people to heal and transform their self, their family and ultimately their world.

My Therapeutic Approach
I integrate various modalities such as person-centred therapy, mentalisation-based therapy, psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches, somatic therapies, mindfulness practices, nature-based and art therapy. I believe these therapy models can support a deeper sense of wholeness, connection, and transformation.
I also view people systemically, recognising that our sense of self is profoundly shaped by relationships, family dynamics, culture, and wider societal systems. Often, emotional distress and mental health struggles can emerge through experiences of disconnection - from ourselves, others, our natural world and our sense of belonging.
In the therapy sessions I have a thorough process where I create a treatment plan based on your presenting issues, goals and underlying origins that have emerged in therapy. This will usually clarify patterns, behaviours and core experiences that have shaped who you are. I then mindfully apply what models and processes would best accomodate you, that will attend to your clinicial presentation and therapeutic direction. This is formulated collaboratively and is dyanmic and changeable, we will work together to navigate this, honouring your pace.
Person-centred therapy
I will encourage you to take the lead on your process, knowing you are the expert of your experience. Offering a humanistic approach that prioritises your growth by empathetic attunement, unconditional positive regard and congruence.
Trauma-Informed Care
I understand that treating trauma involves the body and nervous system as well as the mind. I will honour your pace and prioritize your sense of agency and safety above all else.
Mindfulness-Based tools
If you are open I will integrate grounding, breathing techniques and Focusing - which is a therapy technique that connects you to your body and feelings, helping you to experience a felt shift.
Mentalisation-based therapy
MBT works on a deeper level, assiting you to integrate painful earlier experiences, trauma and parts of your self that have been fragmented. This can foster transformation and a feeling of wholeness.
Psychodynamic and attachment work
Psychodynamic approaches can identify patterns and experiences connected to your childhood and illuminate why it is affecting your life currently.
Attachment work also treats these earlier imprints, assisting in repairing relational ruptures.

Clinical Experience
The trust my clients place in me is something I never take for granted. Here's what some of them have shared about our work together.
"There aren't many words to express my thanks, but I got a lot out of our sessions and wanted to let you know that you helped me a lot. I also really appreciated your 'mini interventions' (for lack of a better word) where you understood when I was over-explaining/analysing instead of simply feeling. Each time I found it to be a very useful reminder for me personally, and it helped me to examine that part of myself even more. You facilitated the space very well and quickly got to know me/my needs in that space early on. I'm sure you'll continue to facilitate and adapt to other client's needs and find success in your field, you seem to have a knack for it!"

"I really appreciated the exploratory nature of our sessions."
"I really appreciated the exploratory nature of our sessions. Talking with an obvious direction does feel reductive and disingenuous to me, and the way you guided our sessions in a manner that helped my feelings endogenous rather than exogenous was really good, actually. It's something I know now by experience is hard to do as a professional with limited time and a client. It's an excellent tool in your toolbox, and I hope it serves you well in the future. For me, it worked well! Not to be reductive, but I believe the way you worked with the feelings, and not to fix, was pretty good.."

A Little More About Me
When I'm not in session, you'll find me in nature, playing music, doing art, practising yoga, and spending time with my loved ones.
I'm also passionate about encouraging people to express their creativity and being a part of community initiatives. I support the arts, live music and helping people feel connected.
